“Hi, I’m Dori…”

Hello,

I am Dorrina Aghhavani Shajari, a lifelong resident of Calabasas, California, and someone deeply committed to serving the community I have grown up in.

My journey in the legal field began at just fifteen years old, opening mail as an after-school intern at a civil law firm in Encino, California. From the second grade, I knew that helping people was my purpose, and over the years I have remained committed to that mission.

Working my way up through law firms across Los Angeles County, I gained invaluable experience supporting attorneys and clients on both the defense and plaintiff sides of civil matters. These experiences gave me a deep understanding of how overwhelming legal processes can feel for many individuals.

Today, as a registered and bonded Legal Document Assistant (LDA) in Los Angeles County and a commissioned Notary Public in California, I am dedicated to providing accurate, reliable, and accessible legal document preparation services.

My goal is to simplify complex legal processes so individuals feel supported and empowered when navigating important documents.

Education and Areas of Study

My academic interests center around law, public policy, and society, with a focus on understanding how legal systems impact communities and individuals.

Through my studies and professional experience, I have developed a strong foundation in legal processes, civic engagement, and the broader social structures that influence access to legal information and resources.

As part of my long-term commitment to public service and legal education, I intend to continue my legal studies with the long-term goal of pursuing legal licensure in California.

Community and Volunteer Work

Serving my community is an important part of my life. I believe meaningful change happens when people actively participate in strengthening the communities around them.

I have had the opportunity to volunteer and participate in various community programs and initiatives across Los Angeles County. These experiences allow me to stay connected with the people and communities I serve while continuing to learn about the issues that matter most locally.

Community engagement is not just something I do outside of work—it is an extension of the values that guide Opsequium Legal Support Solutions.

Why I founded Opsequium:

I founded Opsequium Legal Support Solutions because I believe everyone deserves to feel heard, supported, and empowered when navigating legal matters.

The name Opsequium comes from Latin and means service, courtesy, and compliance. These values form the foundation of my practice and guide how I approach every client interaction.

Through Opsequium Legal Support Solutions, my goal is to make legal processes feel more approachable and manageable, ensuring that clients can move forward with clarity and confidence.

What I Value Most About Helping People:

Making the Intimidating Feel Achievable

Legal terminology and procedures can feel intimidating. One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is helping clients break those complexities down into manageable steps so they can approach the process with confidence.

Building Meaningful Connections

I value the opportunity to listen to each client’s story and create a respectful, supportive environment where people feel heard and understood. Building trust is central to the work I do.

Empowering Clients

There is nothing more fulfilling than seeing clients regain confidence once they understand their options and the process ahead of them. Empowering people to move forward with clarity is what drives my work.
